Trav's response:
"Damn! Look at that! Shit. No, I won't look at it. Rocket won't allow another cat in the house."
I do recall Sluggo publically stating that she wanted a red and white... Just add a bow and Christmas is taken care of!

Hey AL
Not trying to be a party pooper 'cause I think it's great that you want to take in the homeless kitty but don't forget to have it checked for transmittable diseases, like feline leukemia, before you introduce it to your other cats (I'm assuming you have others from the context of your post).

Al...jdf here (at Sluggo's...)
I will pm you my phone #, and we will figure out how to get him to you if in fact you really want him. He showed up last Sunday, and was around most of the week. he has been scarce since the snow started, but he showed up again today, ate, got a little cuddlin', and left agian...
But I can put him in the carrier next time he shows if you'd like.

and believe me, gae, I would LOVE for Sluggo to be allowed to have it...but there are few things my dad stands firm on. And NO MORE animals is one of them...

Also agreeing with Pina... (The world will be ending soon. Please be prepared.)
When Rocket showed up, he spent a night in the carrier in the basement and then went to the vet the next day.
First was the feline AIDS/leukemia test, then he was neutered and declawed, and given all of his shots. The bill was $220.
And, AL, you'll also have to think about socialization. Rocket is ridiculously territorial and made Jack miserable. Ratti isn't quite as intimidated, but it's rare to find them in the same room together. Be prepared for some hissing.
Edited to add this unpleasant thought. If the AIDS/leukemia test is positive, you have to be prepared to make a humane decision.

AL? any word?
I have about 5 more days of food left for him (I won't give mine cans...yuck)...and I think one more time of getting hit in the head with the screen door (since he camps on the back doorstep...literally) is going to render him brain damaged....
